If you live in or are visiting Sydney's Northern Beaches, including the seaside suburbs of Manly and Dee Why, it would be hard for you to miss the centrally located, and stunning Warringah Mall. Living on the beaches can be an attraction because of the remote distance away from the city. Especially if you are living near the Palm Beach end, it can take you several hours to reach Sydney's central business district, so a short journey to Warringah Mall is often much more appealing.
This is also a consideration if you are staying in the tourist suburb of Manly, and as enjoyable as a ferry ride into the city is, Warringah Mall is a closer retail option, and only a short bus ride up the road. The best part, is that you won't be missing much, as Warringah Mall has all of the major stores covered including large department stores and key specialty shops. You will have access to the popular fashion stores, coffee shops and eateries, and even a cinema theatre.
Warringah Mall differs to many shopping centres in Australia as it is located with an outdoor atmosphere. Although the centre will still keep you dry on rainy days, it is difficult to feel cooped up in Warringah Mall, when you can look up and see the sky, and smell the fresh air while you purchase.
Many of the cafes offer outdoor seating, there are sun umbrellas, elegant gardens, and even an outdoor stage that often comes alive with music and entertainment. If no special event has been scheduled, this does not stop the local children from creating their own performances!
If you are planning on visiting Warringah Mall for some retail therapy in a relaxed Northern Beaches atmosphere, all major bus routes will take you there, running along Pittwater Road from the city to
Palm Beach. You should learn where to get off as it is a major stop and is a very common destination.
