There are several ways to see Sydney by air: helicopter tours, joy flights and seaplane tours.
Seaplane tours can be taken from Rose Bay or Palm Beach on Sydney’s north shore. Helicopter tours are available from several locations across central Sydney and its surrounding suburbs. Joy flights can be taken from either of Sydney’s two metro airports: Sydney Metro Airport Bankstown and Sydney Metro Airport Camden. Several charter companies run from both airports for anyone with the appropriate pilots licence.
Air regulations are in place to prevent any inappropriate behaviour when flying above Sydney. An important rule to note is that regardless of how tempting it may be, flying under the Sydney Harbour Bridge is not permitted under any circumstance.
