There has been a Paddy’s Markets associated with the Haymarket area for 150 years. In fact some argue that it goes back even further because a "fringe market" in second hand goods and clothes, novelties, toys and pets operated alongside Sydney's produce market from the very early days of white settlement.
Sydney’s Paddy’s Markets is Australia’s first original market and boasts products as varied as fruit and vegetables, clothing, CDs, flowers, home wares, sunglasses, jewellery - and is one of Sydney's major suppliers to the tourist with souvenirs and Australiana.
Now located in two locations, the original in Haymarket and the larger in Flemington which also hosts the Paddy’s Swap and Sell Markets, situated in the underground car park.
Whether you are shopping for the whole family or a leisurely weekend shop, the markets provide Sydney's, and country New South Wales', vast population with quality family needs as well as catering to the thousands of interstate and overseas visitors each year. You can pretty much buy everything from Paddy’s including the kitchen sink!!
