Mary MacKillop Place is a spiritual, cultural and hospitality centre located in the middle of North Sydney. Onsite is the tomb of Blessed Mary MacKillop in the Mary MacKillop Memorial Chapel.
Blessed Mary MacKillop was an Australian Roman Catholic nun who with Father Julian Tenison Woods, founded the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. Blessed Mary MacKillop is due to be canonised on 17 October 2010, making her Australia’s first saint.
In addition to a museum dedicated to the life and work of Mary MacKillop, Mary MacKillop Place offers educational, conference and accommodation facilities. There is also an onsite shop and café.
Mary MacKillop Place is located at 7-11 Mount Place, North Sydney. It is within walking distance of North Sydney train station. There are no parking facilities onsite but there are metered parking bays on nearby streets and several privately run car park stations close by.
