Glebe is an inner city suburb with restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops along Glebe Point Road and a cheaper place to stay. Sydney University is close by. An easy area to explore on foot.
Glebe is named after the land on which it was developed being a glebe. A feature is the Sze Yup Temple located in Edward Street the first building built in 1898 but the present one dates from 1955 replacing the original destroyed by fire.
The Broadway Shopping Centre was built on the landmark site of the former Grace Brothers department store.
