Featherdale Wildlife Park

Sydney sightseeing

Featherdale wildlife park is an experience which allows you see some of Australia’s most famous animals, including kangaroos, koalas, emus, wallabies, dingoes and Tasmanian devils. Featherdale Wildlife Park is still in metropolitan Sydney, but emulates the natural habitats of animals while still keeping the park visitor friendly.

There is a large crocodile exhibit to check out and also the largest koala colony where you can have a photo taken with a cuddly creature. You may even have the opportunity to hand feed a kangaroo, wallaby or emu.

There are 230 species of birds at the park, including some rare native species. An animal nursery allows children to pet and feed farm animals like sheep and chickens.

On site facilities include gift shop and café, picnic areas and BBQs.

Located in Doonside, Featherdale Wildlife Park is a 45 minute trip out of Sydney. It’s easily reachable by car and also serviced by local bus.

217 Kildare Road, Doonside, NSW 2767 (02 9622 1644).
