Sydney has it all and of course there are beaches, Sydney harbour and Sydney Opera House. Perhaps less well known are the excellent Sydney museums and Sydney Art Galleries. Popular museums include the Powerhouse Museum, Australian National Maritime Museum and the Justice and Police Museum. On Sydney eGuide we list them all so do read our Sydney museum page.
Art Galleries include the Museum of Contemporary Art at Circular Quay and the Art Gallery of New South Wales and there are lots more so do look at the Sydney Art Galleries we feature.
Australia has wonderful wildlife and easily seen in Sydney at the Sydney aquarium in Darling Harbour or at Taronga Zoo a short ferry ride across Sydney harbour.
Parks, walking and gardens are all part of Sydney life and an afternoon in Sydney Botanic Gardens or on the reserves reached by ferry from Circular Quay to Manly.
Sydney being the first settled place in Australia means we still have some interesting historical buildings including Elizabeth Bay House, Town Hall and State Library. |
