At the Art Gallery of New South Wales you will find some impressive works on display including work by noted Australian artists Arthur Streeton, Sidney Nolan and Tom Roberts. The general exhibition hall features Australian Art from the time of settlement, as well as some Asian and European works.
The Gallery first opened its doors in 1897. It is the fourth largest art gallery in Australia and is considered to have the best collection of Australian and international artworks in New South Wales.
Throughout the year there are often free events held for children such as face painting, art classes and live performances.
