Completed in 1999, the ANZ stadium was purpose built to be the biggest and best in Australia. The total project cost $670 Million dollars to complete. Its original construction was for the Olympic games in 2000. After the conclusion of the games, the stadium was restructured so as to host AFL football, Rugby and Cricket Games. It also hosts special events on occasion, such as large scale concerts. At its capacity it seats 83,200 people.
